Words and Music: Ida Stoever, Lee Collins, Will Merenda, Mike Merenda, Krisha Stoever
The music started as a Lee, Will, Mike jam at the pavilion, and soon had the singers singing the chorus with improvised verses by Ida on the spot.
The group was further inspired by a "Power of Pollinators" lesson with local Butterfly Lady, Maraleen Manos-Jones. Ida incorporated the joy of that lesson into some new verses which she brought to the recording session.
lyrics
BEES ARE BUZZIN'
Flowers in the early morning
Petals drippin' with dew
Sweet honey is spillin' from the hive
Bees are buzzin' everywhere
Bees are buzzin' everywhere, bees are buzzin' everywhere
Bees are buzzin' everywhere, bees are buzzin' everywhere
Generations of butterfly migrations
3000 miles
Mother Nature made them special for a reason
We need them
Bees are buzzin' everywhere, bees are buzzin' everywhere
Bees are buzzin' everywhere, bees are buzzin' everywhere
Sunrise blesses the horizon
Another day
All creatures are our teachers
So let's not look away
Bees are buzzin' everywhere, bees are buzzin' everywhere
Bees are buzzin' everywhere, bees are buzzin' everywhere
Butterflies are flyin' through the air
Butterflies are flyin' through the air (woah)
Butterflies are flyin' through the air
Butterflies are flyin' through the air (butterflies are flyin' through the air)
Bees are buzzin' everywhere, bees are buzzin' everywhere
Bees are buzzin' everywhere, bees are buzzin' everywhere
Bees are buzzin' everywhere, bees are buzzin' everywhere
Bees are buzzin' everywhere, bees are buzzin' everywhere
